We are going to York

Rilla and Jeremy will be spending the day at the Warner Brothers Studio for a Harry Potter tour. We left the Bermonds and walked down to London Bridge Station. Got some Pret yogurts and tried to find our platform. Finally figured out the platform by the time the train was leaving the station, #5. I had also collected our tickets from the machine. When we tried to go through, they did not work but the agent at the gate let us in.
Got on our train and headed to St Pancras. Exited the train and our tickets would not work again. Turns out that one ticket was the itinerary and the other was the actual ticket. Now we were good. Walked over to Kings Cross to get the LNER train to York. Nice smooth ride. Left the station and there was a GoldenTours hop on Hop off Bus, so we bought tickets and rode for an hour. We had the whole bus to ourselves. We got off at the train station and walked to York Minster. It is a huge and a beautiful cathedral. The stained glass was wonderful. Saw the crypts.
I asked a couple of ladies who were arranging flowers where a good simple place would be to get lunch. The recommended Gogi Cafe so we went. Very good vegetarian food. After that we wandered around and found The Shambles. They had a market, and a fun German Christmas store. More wandering, and we headed to the Yorkshire Museum. It was nice, and had some Viking items downstairs.
We were both a bit tired, so we found and waited for the Hop bus and rode that again. Getting off at the train station we walked to Caffè Nero and had a snack. On the way back to the train station we walked up on the wall a bit. Supper was yogurts from Starbucks since Pret did not have any. We ate those, and walked out to Platform 3 and waited for our train back to London.
