Touring some of Scotland

September 6, 2025

After getting up, had scrambled eggs and toast. Washed up and met Rilla and Jeremy at 8:45. Walked to the Edinburgh Bus Station for our Rabbies Tour, and our tour guide Jonas was almost ready for us. We boarded the bus and off we went. The Kelpies were the first stop. There was a coffee stand also there. We had 20 minutes to walk around and admire these huge statues. We have seen them before, but they are always fun to see.

Back on the bus and off to Loch Lomond. Drove past Sterling Castle on the way. The driver took us on a walk to the shore and we walked past a Tom Weir statue. It was very peaceful and quiet looking over the Loch. After the Loch, we drove on and stopped to see the Highland Cows at Trossachs Woollen Mills, Hamish Dubh, Honey, and Holly! You can feed them. Lunch was at The Old Bank Coffee House & Restaurant in Callander, and it was delicious. Our next stop was Stirling Castle, where we had 2 hours to roam.

The driver stopped at the Forth Bridges. Very neat to see them up close. As we headed back to Edinburgh another Rabbies bus had a flat tire. We stopped, but the tow truck was on the way.

Jonas was funny and informative. It was a really fun trip.

Rilla did laundry but their machine was not working so she brought her laundry over. After the spin cycle she came back down so she could finish drying the clothes.
